GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS (TRANSFER STUDENTS):

Bahamas Community College accepts applications from students wishing to transfer from other academic institutions. The application must be accompanied with an official transcript from the transferring institutions for review. Full credit will be awarded for relevant work completed with a “C” or above from accredited institutions.

GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

(INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AND OTHER STUDENT CATEGORIES):

Non-Bahamians are welcome to apply for studies at Bahamas Community College. However, they must follow the same application procedures of a new or transfer student along with a Bahamas Department of Immigration residency/study permit.

COLLEGE PREPARATORY REQUIREMENTS:

Bahamas Community College recognizes that persons wishing to pursue a college education may not meet the general entry requirements for new students; therefore, the college will offer a preparatory program to ensure that students are given a fair opportunity to pursue their educational goals while preparing them for college level classes. They must meet the minimum age of 17 years old and must submit a completed application form with relevant fees. They must have passes with “C” or above in each subject to matriculate into the college level programme.

GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

(MATURE STUDENTS)

Bahamas Community College accepts students over the age of 21 year. The applicant must follow the same application procedures of a new or transfer student for admission. The applicant must have worked for a period of at least 2 years in the desired area of study, possess a high school diploma with a GPA of 2.00 or higher upon completion. The must have passes with “C” or above in a minimum of three BGCSE subjects, which must include Math and English.
